Arthur J. Taylor was a 20th-century artist and tackle historian known for painting and illustrating classic fly-fishing scenes and vintage tackle (especially reels and salmon/trout subjects). He was also deeply involved in the vintage tackle community and produced a large number of fishing artworks and illustrations as shown here.
The artist pencil sketch is casting on the Umpqua River dated 10/95 and signed and penciled 10/96.
Note; This is a very unique piece of his, we searched everywhere to find another that has this pencil sketch, we were unsuccessful. This could be highly collectible.
