This is a beautifully preserved example of a classic American bamboo fly rod from the golden age (era late 1930’s-40’s) of fly fishing.

Crafted by the renowned Montague Rod & Reel Company, the Sunbeam was one of Montague’s most respected models, known for durability, smooth full-flex action, and timeless design. This particular rod stands out due to its longer 9’5” length and its exceptional, near-excellent condition—a rarity for rods of this era.
